DISLauncher — automation of work in DIS, diagnostics, programming and coding of BMW
DISLauncher — is a powerful software package that simplifies the process of diagnosing, coding, programming BMW and directly working with DIS software. The program automates many lengthy and tedious actions, adds new functions to the DIS interface, and also uses hot keys.

DISLauncher can only be used with the Windows operating system and DIS installed on a virtual machine. Group Tester One tablet and IBM T30 laptop with native DIS installation are not suitable.
DISLauncher works directly with VMware Workstation, bypassing the interface, and allows you to completely replace the need to independently interact with the DIS virtual machine.
Features of the new DIS GUI
The new graphical shell is not part of the internal DIS interface. It overlays the X-Win32 window, hiding the standard DIS interface buttons and replacing them with new functions. For convenience, all long actions are accompanied by a loading animation.
Clicking the button allows you to minimize the X-Win32 window to access the Windows desktop. Keyboard hotkey [Esc] allows you to instantly minimize and maximize an X-Win32 window.
Pressing the button automates the process of exiting to the DIS main page from diagnostic programs. It emulates pressing the "End" —> "Exit" buttons and entering an identification number. Keyboard hotkey [Left arrow]

Pressing the button allows you to restart X-Win32, for example, if the DIS interface freezes and does not respond to the cursor. Keyboard hotkey [F5]
Clicking the button allows you to create and save a screenshot of the DIS window. A folder is automatically created with the name of today's date, and the name of the screenshot will be the time it was created. The saving path is configured in the configuration file. Keyboard hotkey [Print Screen].

The window displays the battery charge level of the computer on which DISLauncher is running, with a gradation of 0 — 100%. If the charge level drops below 21%, the warning lamp starts flashing.
Pressing the button transfers focus to DISLauncher, which allows you to instantly access the program when DIS is running.
The window is responsible for displaying the status of the network connection of the diagnostic interface to DIS.
The computer is not connected to the EDIC diagnostic head via Wi-Fi or network cable. Or use ADS/OBD interface.

DIS has established communication with the EDIC head via Wi-Fi. You can start diagnosing and coding in DIS. The Wi-Fi signal level is displayed in gradations of 20 — 40 — 60 — 80 — 100%.
The EDIC connection to the computer via Lan was detected, but DIS has not yet established a connection with the diagnostic interface.
DIS has established communication with the EDIC head via the network cable. You can start diagnosing, coding and programming in DIS.
DISLauncher detected a simultaneous connection of the EDIC interface to the computer via Wi-Fi and Lan. Exceptional situation, operation in DIS is not possible, only one communication method must be connected to the diagnostic interface.
Clicking the button pauses the virtual machine with DIS and closes VMware Workstation and X-Win32. The function is similar to the [Pause] buttonin the main window DISLauncher.

Main window features
Launch — a command is executed in Vmrun to turn on the virtual machine with DIS. VMware Workstation automatically starts and DIS starts loading, X-Win32 starts. It is possible to run in the background, DIS works, but the VMware Workstation interface is not displayed in Windows and does not interfere with its presence.
If you add DISLauncher to Windows startup, DIS will automatically start immediately after Windows boots. Configured in the configuration file.
If you measure and specify in DISconfig.txt the time in seconds from the start of pressing the Launch button in DISLauncher until the old DIS window appears on your computer, then the boot animation will display the remaining time until DIS loads as a percentage. DIS loading always takes a long time, and it is very convenient to know how long you have to wait. In the configuration file you can specify the start time from the shutdown state and from the pause state of the virtual machine with DIS. DISLauncher remembers how you closed the virtual machine, by shutting down or pausing, based on this, during the next launch it will use either the boot time from the shutdown state or the boot time from the paused state for animation.
Pause — executes a command in Vmrun to pause the virtual machine running DIS. VMware Workstation, X-Win32 closes. All that remains is the Windows desktop and the DISLauncher window.

Lock EDIC Head — allows you to lock the EDIC interface for further work with the BMW Standart Tools software package, without the need to launch DIS. DISLauncher completely repeats the algorithm for network connection from EDIC to DIS. In this case, EDIC will contact DISLauncher.
Unlock EDIC Head — allows you to unlock the network connection between EDIC and DISLauncher.
Encoding section capabilities
The window makes it as easy as possible to make the most necessary adjustments to the encoded variant code of DME 1.x engines without the need to manually recalculate the binary code:
Programming section features
The window allows you to use the DME number with a lambda probe to find in the ETK database the DME number without a lambda probe, which can then be used to program the ECU to switch the engine to non-wheel drive. In addition, it displays the type of transmission to which the entered DME number belongs. The ETK 2004 database is used. If the program does not find lambda-free firmware — it means it is not in ETK.
